- Callum5 novembre 2025⭐⭐½ – 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain – The Last Kick Before the Curtain By the time 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain rolled around, the martial arts craze that had once filled every playground and video store shelf was starting to fade — and you can feel it here. The energy’s still there, but it’s starting to run on nostalgia fumes. The brothers are growing up, the fights are tamer, and the sense of wonder that powered the first film has mellowed into something closer to Saturday-afternoon comfort viewing. This time, we get a love interest for one of the boys — a natural evolution for anyone who grew up alongside them. It’s a sweet touch that mirrors the audience’s own growing up, even if it doesn’t add much kick to the story. The addition of Hulk Hogan, at the height of his career, injects some muscle-bound charisma into the mix. Sure, he’s a wrestler and not a martial artist, but in a series built on flying kicks and big personalities, it works surprisingly well. The real surprise comes from Jim Varney, forever etched in memory as Ernest P. Worrell. Seeing him play against type adds a layer of curiosity — a familiar face doing something just a little different, and somehow making it work. Between him and Hogan, the film leans more on star power than story, but it still holds together as an easy, cheerful watch. It’s not as sharp or spirited as the earlier entries, but it’s a fitting end to an era — one last playful roundhouse before the credits roll on 90s kid martial arts for good. 🥤 Pairing: A root beer float — sweet, nostalgic, and a little over-the-top, best enjoyed while remembering a time when heroes wore bandanas and every kick felt like magic.
