This is the first time I've heard the name "Mary Oliver" and I believe, it's the first time I've read her poetry. I am impressed with Mary. Her love for the natural world and the profundity of her poetry has changed my perspective for the better. Fuck Oprah btw. Ken Burns more or less objectively recounts the Vietnam War from the US perspective (at least 90% of it). Many interviews provide a picture of life as a US / South Vietnamese soldier / veteran and a few interviews depict life as a Vietcong soldier / veteran - there are no interviews from any Laotians, Chinese, etc... The US POW Pilot / war criminal saying the worst part of captivity was being unable to sing patriotic songs had me fucking dying! What a freak! Lmao.
