The medical mysteries are varied and engaging, avoiding that “case-of-the-week fatigue,” though some solutions do arrive via last-minute insight rather than fair-play deduction. Even so, the character work, internal drama, and thematic cohesion more than make up for it. This is a series that comfortably sits at the intersection of detective mystery, medical drama, and character-driven storytelling — and it earns its place there. Pairing 🍷: A smoky rye old fashioned — structured, confident, and a little unexpected. Familiar enough to be comforting, but with enough bite and depth to remind you this isn’t the version you thought you knew.
