The Boys essentially translates how anyone with an ounce of critical thinking sees American politics playing out in real-time. In certain cases things done on the show to mock and mimic the Trump dictatorship were filmed before the real example presented itself, essentially predicting the event. You'll see the Right down-rate this show as 'political propaganda' or 'Left circle jerking'. It's a knee-jerk reaction to the brutal assault on their carefully created, disinformation laden & frail FoxNews realities. On another note, the script is hilarious and has plenty of shock-jokes and unexpected twists and turns. Many of them gory or just plain gross-out humor. It's also a bit of a commentary on how actual Superheroes might behave, VS the polished world of Marvel. If you're intelligent and a fan of dark humor (usually goes hand in hand), then The Boys is for you.

The Seven are more brand ambassadors than heroes and Vought International runs it all like a PR machine. Enter Billy Butcher and his crew, regular humans with vendettas, grit and a lot of swearing. The violence is brutal, the satire is razor sharp and the moral compass spins like a broken drone. It’s not subtle, but it’s smart. The show dives into power, media and manipulation with a wink and a sledgehammer.

For me, it is the best superhero series ever made, and I doubt another will surpass it, because the golden age of superheroes in media is coming to an end. The Boys doesn’t just entertain—it reminds us that behind every cape and perfect smile may lie the worst kind of corruption. And in the end, the true heroes are not the ones who fly, but those who dare to confront the lie.
