However, the abrupt cancellation by Freeform after Season 3 was a devastating and completely unfair decision. The Season 3 finale left us with a massive, frustrating cliffhanger and so many unresolved storylines. The journey of Ryn, Ben, Maddie, and the other characters feels deeply unfinished, and it is heartbreaking to see such a masterpiece abandoned without a proper conclusion. I am writing this as a dedicated international fan, and I know for a fact that I am not alone. There is a massive, passionate, and growing global fanbase that is still here, still rewatching the show, and still fighting for it. We have not forgotten this amazing story, and our love for Siren has not faded over the years. We are begging you to give this show the closure it deserves. We need a Season 4 to finish the story properly, or at the very least, a movie to wrap up the loose ends. She arrives on land searching for her sister and ends up entangled in the complexities of human life — love, jealousy, morality, and the constant tug between belonging and instinct. As more mermaids surface, the tension builds between ocean and shore, secrecy and exposure. The humans caught in between are forced to confront what makes someone “human” when the lines blur beyond recognition. The romantic subplot, though present, never overwhelms the greater story — this is not a love story with scales, but a story about identity and alienation.
