- David Trigg2025年4月3日One of my favorite high fantasy movies. Not the best ever made, admittedly, but it's a fun ride with funny moments, scary scenes, magic everywhere, and a decent story. Definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
- Chris Milkshake11時間前A superb production of a film that, in lesser hands, would be horribly fanficcy. Premise: how can we make a Hobbit/Shannara (the latter itself being a close ripoff of the former) movie without paying royalties, throw in some cliches from other films, and top it off with the stereotype of the self-identified Evil queen? It's goofy as hell, and trite. And yet somehow it's put together so well that it gets off the ground, partly through a few charismatic actors, partly through great music and cinematography, and generally through Lucas applying his classic formula. I like to imagine Lucas took a dare to produce a hackneyed script and make it work, and someone held his beer and he did it. It's a far more entertaining film than it should be. Not a smart one. A little sappy. But it's not standard genre trash (again, thanks to Lucas) and manages to have some soul to it.
- TomVader2025年9月26日I'm biased by nostalgia, but I think Willow is a fantastic movie. Warwick Davis slays it as an unexpected hero. Val Kilmer lends a sarcastic comedy. Sure, the plot isn't great, and the story drags a bit, but if you're the kind of person who puts on tights and goes drinking at the Renaissance Faire, or spends evenings rolling dice in fantasy roleplay, you're probably going to love this movie. Fairies, magic, brownies, witches, castles, and swords. What else would you need?
- Mister Arn2025年5月22日Is Willow a fantasy or a fairy tale? Very few films can pull off being both, and this is not one of them. Its action scenes are not just nasty; they are silly. During the final battle, I groaned and prayed for the end to come quickly.
