妻と共に郊外の新居へ越してきた中年男のエクトルは、庭から双眼鏡で森を眺めていると、服を脱ぐ若い女性の姿を目撃する。好奇心から森へ足を踏み入れた彼は、突如、頭にピンク色の包帯を巻いた不気味な男にはさみで襲撃される。逃げ惑うエクトルは、森の奥にある研究所に逃げ込む。そこにいた研究員に促されるまま、身を隠すために奇妙な機械の中へ入るが、機械から出た彼が目にしたのは、約1時間前の「過去の世界」であった。不可解なタイムループに巻き込まれた平凡な男が、事態を収拾しようと奔走する姿を描く。張り巡らされた伏線がパズルのように組み合わさっていく、緊迫感あふれるタイムトラベル・スリラーである。
