Positives: - The concept is interesting - The premise is decent enough - I love the message of the movie - The film is still entertaining Mixed: - The romance is fine at best - The performances are pretty mediocre - The characters are again fine at best Negatives: - I honestly don’t think I laughed at all so for me the comedy does not land at all - The film feels like more of a cartoon than an actual comedy - I don’t really care for the story - The movie is so over the top and straight up dumb for me Overall The Mask isn’t the worst Jim Carrey film but it still is up there in his lower filmography.

What is funny is that this movie is funny for all the reasons it wasn't originally written for. It wants you to laugh at one joke that isn't funny, but does something mild that's funnier than you think.
