"The Faculty" for me is a very close 2nd out of that late 90's to early 2000's run of post Scream horror movies that we had during that time. The Faculty is the underrated hidden gem 💎 of that era of horror. Its 💯 awesome and very well paced from start to finish love The Faculty!!!👽
- carter28822025年12月16日The Faculty is an absolute blast and an absolute horror classic!! The movie has such an intriguing premise that doesn’t fail to surprise you. The cast is great and so much fun to be around, they all have different personalities that works so well since the film is about a high school. I can admit that the CGI and visual effects aren’t all that great. But the twist at the end was actually pretty shocking and really worked!! So overall an absolute blast of a film and in my eyes a horror classic!!!

It had that unmistakable vibe of the era, sharp dialogue, a stylish soundtrack and a cast full of rising stars. And of course, Famke Janssen was a highlight. Seeing her in that role added a cool mix of elegance and vulnerability, especially as her character gets pulled into the chaos. The movie played with classic “body snatcher” themes but wrapped them in a high school setting that made everything feel more intense and fun. It was the kind of film that didn’t pretend to be anything other than what it was: a slick, entertaining creature feature with attitude. Watching it back then felt like discovering a cult classic in the making.
- viktorsmi2025年11月28日A spin on the Invasion of the Body Snatchers, reimagined through the 1990s counter culture lens. A time capsule of the decade it was made in, and wonderful one at that. An interesting look at early careers of many of the Gen X stars, as well as a corner stone of Rodriguez's career. Practical effects definitely allow this movie to stand out after all this time.
- Kyle Bianchi2025年10月22日I don't think there's such a thing as a perfect movie, but when you think of some perfect 90s movies, especially those in the horror and thriller genres, a handful come to mind. I hope when anyone thinks of this era, The Faculty comes to mind. It's a great flick, easily one of the most memorable from the 90s.
