- Ray Hopkin2026年6月28日As my much better half said: "this is pure 90s big budget, earnest cheese". And it's hard to disagree, as it's done so well! Costner and Houston are brilliant, and everything around them works so well.
- Phattony5日前Definitely a classic and still amazed Whitney crushed this role the way she did.
- old_computer2026年8月13日Rachel falling for someone like Frank makes this movie the best comedy I've seen. Incredible to see how beautiful the Fountain Blu Hilton was in the 80s/90s but they only show it's backside. I grew up in that hotel in the 80s.
- flavo432026年1月12日The Bodyguard remains a defining romantic thriller of the early ’90s, elevated enormously by its unforgettable soundtrack. The story itself is straightforward—a superstar singer threatened by a stalker and the stoic professional hired to protect her—but that simplicity works in the film’s favour. It creates space for the emotional beats, the tension, and the evolving relationship at the centre of it all. Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston share a surprisingly natural chemistry, grounding the film even when it leans into melodrama. Costner’s calm, disciplined presence contrasts beautifully with Houston’s vulnerability and star power, giving their dynamic a believable push‑and‑pull. Of course, the music is the film’s secret weapon, turning key moments into iconic ones and giving the story a resonance it might not otherwise have achieved. Overall, The Bodyguard is an engaging, heartfelt film whose charm lies in its leads and its legendary soundtrack.
