Always got their finger on the pulse This is so high-octane when it doesn’t need to be and I love it. The aggressive directorial approach really nails it. That car wash scene is massive. I wanna know if Dinah’s fall tryna get on the bus was real bc that looked like it HURT The third act is just so good. Man I already miss James Ransone. So funny in this. RIP
- Kevin Ward2025年7月4日Serendipitously, I started this on Christmas not realizing it’s a Christmas movie. Sean Baker films always have a documentary feel to them — unfiltered aesthetic with an unflinching camera capturing people and places not typically featured on the big screen. That style is particularly prevalent in this film as it’s shot completely on iPhone. (Iphone 5s if google is to be believed). Mya Taylor and Kitana Kiki Rodriguez are magnetic and though the chaos and drama of their lifestyle propels the film, it’s really at it’s best when the two of them are sharing in the quieter moments, especially that final scene.
