- ርልዪረ2025年2月23日As one of many psychological home-invasion based movies of the time, ‘Pacific Heights’ stands out as a memorable thriller with a decent cast, and enough tension to entertain throughout. John Schlesinger’s spacious and yet tightly focussed direction lends an edginess that while not overdone, supports the narrative well without detracting from the film’s objective, and so what’s delivered is a methodical exercise in isolated fear at the hands of aclearly deranged and disturbed individual. It’s not often that a movie of this sub-genre sticks with me, but ‘Pacific Heights’ never loses its charm despite numerous visits, and so if you’re yet to see it then it comes well recommended, and if it’s been a while, then definitely give it another look sooner rather than later.
