コミック作家のクレイは、ボストンの空港から別居中の妻子へ連絡を取るが、充電切れで携帯電話が通話不能となってしまう。やむなく彼が公衆電話に切り替えようとしていると、彼の周囲で携帯電話を使用していた人々が突如狂暴になり、無差別な殺し合いを始める思わぬ事態に。その場をなんとか逃れたクレイは、やがて地下鉄の車掌のトムら、何人かと仲間になり、互いに助け合いながら、妻子の住むニューハンプシャーへと向かう。

- SirMonkalot2026年9月2日Where do I begin with this movie? The only reason I watched this was because a friend of mine said he enjoyed it. When I looked it up and saw the never ending sea of awful reviews, I knew I had to watch it and see for myself. On paper, it shouldn’t be half bad, you got Sam Jackson, John Cusack and it’s based on a Stephen King story. These are all things I like. I think the biggest problem with this is that the story itself is kind of lame. They really went with “let’s take the figurative saying that Cellphones turn people into zombies and let’s make it LITERAL. And then turn it into a movie!”. Yeah… no. If you’re going to do something like that, you better KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK. It’s an okay premise and could probably make for an interesting movie but man did they mess this up. The dialogue was atrocious, none of the characters felt like real people that ever existed on any version of planet earth. Some of the things they said were just so dumb and one dimensional. “Don’t use your cellphones.” “Why?” “They did.” Oh and it’s not just the dialogue; the acting was terribly weak. None of the performances were enjoyable. Also, the movie is just so weirdly paced. Everything kind of happens at the beginning. And it’s weird that the characters figure things out REALLY quickly in the first 10 minutes. Then the second half was just a snooze fest. There were some parts that I found entertaining but the pacing just ruined any momentum the movie had. And then there’s the visual effects. I don’t particularly care if a movie has bad visual effects. It’s a low budget film, I can get past that. But added on top of all the rest, nope. Don’t bother with this. If you’re looking for hive mind zombies, go watch Colony. If you’re looking for something that dives deeper into hive mind, go watch Pluribus.
- Biohazardous.2025年8月12日This movie doesn't make a shred of sense. There is no consistency in the infected and new rules seem to come from nowhere. The characters are fine, but nowhere near enough to make up for everything else that went wrong.

- Force Close2026年6月30日I would say “Cell” is worth watching. I watched it twice, definitely enough moments to keep you entertained, has you rooting for the protagonist, the atmosphere is done well, there’s just not enough that’s unique with the film or cinematography to make it stand out. Overall I give it 2.5 stars, just average, serviceable, a good story but sort of a dull movie, watching the film does make me want to read the book though.
- Splitvision892026年6月18日Starts out very strong, the first 30 minuets made me think this was going to be excellent. The next hour of the movie is terrible. Characters are boring, die stupidly, and refuse to see what is happening right in front of them. The ending also make zero sense.
