Dove guardare Nekromantik
- Garrett Wilkins15 agosto 2026Nekromantik is the kind of film where the shock value is clearly the point, but that doesn't necessarily make it effective. Jörg Buttgereit throws himself into the grotesque with enough commitment to make some of the imagery genuinely hard to forget, yet I found the film more interesting as a piece of underground filmmaking than as an actual horror experience. There is something admirable about making a movie this strange with so little money, especially when you consider how far Buttgereit was willing to push the material. Unfortunately, the novelty wears off faster than the film does. The practical effects have an appropriately grimy quality, but the story and characters never gave me much reason to care about what was happening beyond the next attempt to disgust me. I can appreciate Nekromantik for what it represents in extreme cinema without pretending I found it particularly entertaining. There is a certain value in seeing something this unapologetically bizarre, but for me, the curiosity was stronger than the actual experience.

Robert ed Annie sono una coppia apparentemente “normale”. Robert lavora in una squadra speciale per il recupero di corpi di persone decedute in incidenti di varia natura. Il fatto è che, più si cimenta in questo lavoro, più si sente morbosamente attratto dalla morte, dai cadaveri e dal loro "irresistibile fascino". Un bel giorno, Robert decide di portare a casa i pezzi di un cadavere ed Annie, anziché rimanere disgustata dall'evento, si lascia trasportare in un'avventura all'isengan del sesso deviato, della necrofilia e della morbosità estrema. Fino alle inaspettate conseguenze...
