I’ve always thought that Christian Bale was a better Batman than most people give him credit for, but in this movie he is absolutely phenomenal as both Bruce and Batman. Cillian Murphy’s Scarecrow is very scary and the visuals are great, and I did also enjoy Liam Neeson’s Ra’s Al Ghul even tho they took away some cool stuff about his character. Overall, a very good start to Nolan’s Batman films
- WillsHimself24 maggio 2026Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins is simply a fantastic movie, anchored by an incredibly well written screenplay and an amazing portrayal of the Dark Knight. It delivers an unbeatable origin story that is absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Even as someone who still holds a lot of love for the classic 1980s era of Batman and Val Kilmer's take on the character, I have to admit that Nolan executed this reboot beautifully. It is an absolute triumph that redefined the genre.
- Zokkiie28 aprile 2026Rewatched this and it still delivers. Even knowing every big moment, I was locked in the whole time and it honestly flew by. I picked up on a few smaller details I missed the first time too, which made me appreciate it even more. Great performances, strong atmosphere, and so many memorable scenes that still hit. And looking back, it really feels like the start of a masterpiece trilogy. Easily one of those movies that never gets old.
- Vincent Reggiannini24 maggio 2025A great cast, a great director and great writing make this the ultimate Batman film. Nolan gets as close to the “What if” scenario that we have all asked ourselves. What if Batman were “real”. How could he do it, what would it take, what price would he have to pay (physically, financially and emotionally). And in the end what would the consequences of this path be on himself and the people around him. This film would get 5 stars if it weren’t for what followed.

I will say on second viewing 20 years later it still doesn't disappoint. Great origin story, even though it's not 100% like you expect it to be. And it sets up the rest of the movies perfectly. Mr. Nolan, you have done your job well.
