Forget thinking of this as a horror movie. The story of Carrietta White is heartrending.

To be honest, this was a pretty decent modern take on what *Carrie* could be. However, the unnecessary emphasis on women's empowerment and the constant "men this, men that" messaging really hurt the beginning of the show. Some of those forced inserts were just trash, in my opinion. I get it. We're living in a time when women's empowerment and equality are major talking points, but I feel like people often misunderstand what true equality means. Everyone seems to want the benefits without accepting the responsibilities and disadvantages that come with it. That being said, once you look past the unnecessary messaging and forced social commentary, the show itself is actually pretty well done. It's a solid modern adaptation that could have been even better without trying so hard to push certain messages into the story.

Fantastic acting from everyone, great soundtrack and storytelling! Felt short for me on the last episode by trying to spread to thin on all fronts, but most of the episodes were great!

I am a simple man, I see something new from Mike Flanagan and I binge watch the whole season in one sitting. This is some of his best work. OUTSTANDING

    It’s better than i thought.
  • A tragic story about a school shooter and how she makes all the bullies pay in the end and drives off into the sunrise.
  • The first 7/8 of this show were phenomenal but the seduction of I.P. and endless seasons were too great even for our venerable Flanagan, and he crashes the plane for the landing with an embarrassing finale. I would still watch it, but just turn it off when the house crashes.
  • Wow. As someone who wasn't much of a fan of the OG movie, this series is an absolute MASTERPIECE! Don't even second guess it, just watch it.

"Preferring your daughter not become a vapid fleshlight at HS is an opinion only held by bigots & devout widows so who cares if they burn down half the town after reading a couple Jane Austin novels" -Prime Video

Too many extras. I liked most of the new takes on stuff, but come on man that ending, do we really need a season 2?

What do you get when you reboot a classic horror IP and shoe horn in stranger things, gossip girl, and x-men? This, and it's not great...borderline awful. Whole episodes are skip-able and worthless.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. I loved how the story was broken down into episodes. Each episode ending kept me wanting more. Now that I have finished the series, I want even more. I want to delve into her mother's background. Moreover, I want to check out this new friend. She is very unusual. There's a story there. Please bring us more..

I assume that the first episode was the best, but the others… I slept and preferred to watch something else. I really LIKED that two plot twists AAAAA ALL of the actors portrayed their characters sooo flawless that sometimes I forgot it was a fiction

One of the best horror shows I’ve ever seen and a great, updated take on the original.
  • Feels very familiar

This has been the best season of Life is Strange since the first two
  • Oh shit that episode ending was fire

Go off girl, fuckin fire soundtrack on this show too.
  • Very cool take on Carrie

I thought the modern elements of Carrie was really good, actually made sense more because you can’t escape it because everyone’s online and it’s not just at school. The pivotal scene was crazy. I’m really enjoying the Stephen king interconnected universe.

    👑Kings Inspiration For Carrie 👑

Carrie White was directly inspired by two real girls. Stephen King knew during his youth!! 👑 The supernatural telekinesis, the destruction of the town, and the prom massacre are products of Kings imagination...✨ However, the emotional core, the brutal bullying, and the extreme religious household were taken from real life 🧬 And Stephen King's memoir on writing, King explain that Carrie White was an amalgamation Of two girls He crossed paths with while growing up in Maine. 👑 The first girl ("Tina") A classmate king went to school with, who was an outcast and relentlessly bullied!! 😢 King, noted that the torment stemmed largely from extreme poverty!! 💰 The poor girl was forced to wear the exact same unwashed out of style outfit to school everyday!! 😢 Making her an easy target for Peers who pinned " kick me" signs to her back! 😢 Tragically as detailed by King, she later died by suicide as a teenager 😢😢 The second girl ("Sandra") A deeply sheltered, timid girl from King's neighborhood, whose home life deeply influenced the creation of Carrie's mother! 😱 Margaret White. When King was hired to help move furniture into their family's home, 🏡 he was startled 😱to see an enormous menacing crucifix mounted directly over the living room sofa!! 💺 The family's oppressive, fundamentalist religious rules isolated the girl from living a normal teenage social life 🧬 She also suffered a tragic untimely death following a epileptic seizure 😱 😢 King famously noted that both girls died young!!! 😢😢 And he wondered what might have happened if someone like them had secretly possessed the ultimate defense mechanism against their tormentors!!! Interesting info huh guys and gals? I was not aware of the truth of this until just recently. So if anyone has any input on the information that I have just shared here, let's get this party started!! Let's start the discussion!! Any comments?
  • What a letdown...

This belongs on the WB network. It's written for 15 year old girls who just can't wait to be as old as these girls are. I will watch the entire series but only to get to THE finale. I do like Siena Agudong. She's been popping up in a handful of roles like Buzzkill lately.
