- Daevid Vincent17 de agosto de 2026I love this pilot episode so much. It's gritty and raw and funny and a hint of darkness. Chandler is a great actor for this character and Pierre supports him well. I can't wait for the next episode. My favorite line isn't "Are you afraid?"; it's "Are you beeping?" 😆

- Brandi18 de agosto de 2026I'm not a big superhero fan, although I do love anything to do with Spider-Man Superman or Batman. Ever since Superman 3 was filmed in my city and I was a teenager and got to see some cool stuff involved, and of course Christopher Reeve. But I haven't watched much in the last 20 years or so and I saw this pop up and the first thing I noticed was Kyle Chandler. He's such a great actor and I love seeing everything he's involved in so here I am. The first episode hasn't disappointed so let's see where this goes.

It brings the Green Lantern universe down to Earth with a darker, more grounded mystery that often feels like True Detective with a DC twist. Great atmosphere, compelling characters and enough superhero elements to satisfy fans without overpowering the story. Solid 5 stars and highly recommended!

- TheMovieWall19 de agosto de 2026Not off to a banging start. Or is it? We start off the pilot with a bit of an origin story for the new trainee of Hal Jordon. Yea this show is going to be about Hal Jordan's trainee John. Who is possibly going to take over as Green Lantern? I didn't think it worked that way but ok. I thought the ring chooses? This pilot episode was a little slow going as far as plot. There is a decent amount of action so I'm going to hold out some hope and see where this goes. So far we have a trainee, some kind of country militia, aliens, and a Green Lantern who looks a bit homeless most of the time. Best part of this episode was trainee John banging a bar chick in the parking lot! ahahah. Go DC! Overall not a horrible episode, but not great. I'm interested enough to see where the next few episodes takes us.
- It’s a case of Benjamin button where the good stuff was saved for later rather than shock and swing audiences from the word go. I’m abstaining from watching any more until the whole 1st season comes to a conclusion. Plus with a healthy exnlibeary I’m not wanting for stuff to watch.
After the lacklustre pilot I’m surprised people stuck around
- Lanterns S1E1 - mmmmm... Ok? So the approach that superpowers are not the main focus was great in Invincible, Gen V, and so on -- but we still need the superpower scenes, the action, the suit. If the whole show is their banter, not gonna love it. Concern here is how DC so frequently misses the tone of their own IP, trying to go gritty when the characters actually are 1-dimensional characters that don't really make sense anyway so don't get so serious. Titans missed this completely, but somehow Teen Titans GO! gets it -- have fun, get silly, let the heroes shine ... Dark Knight is so ridiculous that it worked. Man of Steel - not a morally conflicted Superman. *AND MOST IMPORTANTLY* Don't do episodes or a season / movie where the heroes don't have their powers!! (This is the 'superpower nerf' mistake that so many writers/directors do all the time, and they pay the price when everyone hates them! It's a superhero show, let the heroes shine!)
