La princesa Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) decide huir justo antes de su boda con el príncipe Valium (JM J. Bullock), para ello se lleva a su robot Dot Matrix (Lorene Yarnell) y una pequeña nave espacial. Ante esto su padre, el rey Roland de Druidia (Dick Van Patten) ofrece una recompensa a quien encuentre a su hija. La recompensa interesa mucho a Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) y a su ayudante Vomito Barf (John Candy) que deben mucho dinero a un delincuente llamado Pizza el Hutt (Dom DeLuise). En su huida la princesa Vespa es interceptada por la nave del malvado Lord Casco Oscuro (Rick Moranis) que trabaja para el presidente del planeta Spaceballs (Mel Brooks), que ansía el aire puro del planeta Druidia. Lone Starr, con la ayuda del maestro Yogurt (Mel Brooks), que le enseña a usar la suerte, debe rescatar a la princesa y acabar con los Spaceball

The way he parodies Star Wars (and pretty much all of sci-fi) is just brilliant—from Yogurt to Dark Helmet, every character is ridiculous in the best way possible. 😂 This one has always been a personal fave—probably one of the better Brooks films in my opinion. The jokes still hit after all these years, and the timing? Chef’s kiss. If you’re into clever spoofs and want something that doesn’t take itself seriously at all, Spaceballs is a must-watch. Absolute classic! “Ludicrous speed… GO!

- DTSaito22 de noviembre de 2025To me this is the kind of gloriously cheesy movie you throw on when you want your brain to take the night off. It’s dumb on purpose, like aggressively lame and that’s exactly where it gets its charm. Half the jokes are groaners, the other half are so ridiculous you can’t help but laugh anyway. The plot barely matters and the characters are cartoonish, and the whole thing feels like a giant cosplay sketch that somehow became a movie. But honestly? That’s the fun of it. It’s goofy, cheap-looking, and totally aware of its own nonsense and that’s why I still love it.
