This movie is genuinely just one of the most mind boggling pieces of cinema I have ever watched, Christopher Nolan is the greatest director of all time
The Prestige
Birds of Prey
Birds of Prey is a fine movie that doesn’t have a whole lot of good outside of Margot Robbie and Ewen McGregor. None of the other characters did much for me and the story was ehh. The action was solid and visually nothing stands out but nothing is horrible
Harley Quinn is just one of the those characters that works better as a side character and I’m not sure if you can make a solo movie with her being the star. Especially with the fact that there’s no Joker in this, these characters I feel should always be with eachother, they just work.
Pretty average flick
Birds of Prey
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood
I strive to have the same amount of fun in life that Brad Pitt had making this film
This movie is so fun holy shit
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood
Shazam!
I might be an idiot but I had a lot of fun with this movie, I mean it’s just dumb fun
Like a lot of the DCEU, it’s not the most accurate DC movie but for this it works, you can tell that Zack Snyder didn’t have anything to do with this movie because there’s jokes and fun in it
Shazam!
Aquaman
Definitely one of the better movies in the DCEU, especially of the origin movies
The underwater visuals are pretty but outside of that they are pretty spotty at times to me at times
Story wise it’s not anything people haven’t seen but that’s not necessarily a bad thing
The casting are good even if on paper Mamoa shouldn’t have been Aquaman but he’s probably the best casting as the main cast
Aquaman
Mid90s
Good, not great, definitely want to rewatch this though
Ray a real MF tho
Mid90s
Patriots Day
Marky Mark get bad guy who made boom
Patriots Day
The Death of Stalin
Jason Isaacs made me laugh a lot
The Death of Stalin
Zack Snyder's Justice League
This is a far improved version of Justice League (2017)
This story is so much more fleshed out and it feels coherent and actually thought through.
Characters like Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg feel like actual heroes and fleshed out people with a backstory and purpose other than the plot needed them. The original cut just relies on WW and Batfleck to carry the whole story and that only works for so long. This version of the story just feels so much better to me.
And the villains actually feel dangerous and worthy of the justice league forming. Showing Darkside is something called world building which is something I wasn’t sure Snyder could do well before this movie.
Still a flawed but good movie, it’s so long tho😭
Best of the DCEU so far
Zack Snyder's Justice League
Justice League
The opening shot may just be the biggest disgrace to superhero movies ever
The CGI, the story, the villain all terrible. This just feels like a super cheap reattempt at making The Avengers and it’s such a misfire
The DCEU died by its own doing and I’m lowkey starting to blame Zach Snyder
Justice League
Wonder Woman 1984
Well this was mid
I just never found this one interesting, Gal Gadots acting is just so bad but I will admit she’s got this character nailed so I’ll give credit where it’s due. But literally the story was bad, CGI spotty, and don’t get me started on that golden costume, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT.
Pedro Pascal as Max Lord isn’t horrible and I think his acting in this is a plus, but seeing him without facial hair is literally a jumpscare the entire time
I see why the DCEU died
Wonder Woman 1984
Disclosure Day
Say what you want about the quality of Steven Spielberg’s movies but you can’t say the man isn’t original because I’m still not sure what I just saw.
The biggest issues I had with the movie are I felt like some of the characters like Hugo especially just weren’t explored well and given enough background, I understand it with the leads because they’re supposed to be randomly thrusted into this. As well as the CGI being pretty spotty at times but honestly that’s more nitpicking if anything.
Very solid watch👍
I really want to know what Shane Gillis’s thoughts on the film is
Young Washington
Suicide Squad
I watched the extended cut and I honestly don’t know what the difference between the original and this was but I wanted to give this the best chance it could get given its reputation
The casting in my opinion is the best part of this, Viola Davis as Waller is perfect and I really liked Harley Quinn and Rick Flagg‘s characters in this. Everyone else was either okay or just didn’t wow me in any way
However, the biggest thing I disliked from this film is the Joker portrayal by Jared Leto, I think Leto is a great actor, but he was severely miscast in this role. I mean was more just a thug than a psychopath and his laugh was TERRIBLE and I didn’t buy him and Harley’s relationship at all, he didn’t seem to care about her at all even with the “reason” they try and give.
Action seem dull, bad writing, and I just felt like I was drug from a chain watching this. Not a great watch.
Doesn’t hit the same as it did when it first came out but I still have a ton of fun with this film
Two of the arguably greatest comic book castings of all time matched up and just having a fun time doing all the things “heroes” shouldn’t be doing
If you ignore the spotty CGI and questionable writing and allow yourself to have some fun with it you’ll enjoy it way more than you would over analyzing every part of this and I feel like for this movie you need to have that approach towards it
