Fall 2: Deadpoint immediately finds a nastier playground than its predecessor. The Devil's Elbow is all exposed rock, collapsing footholds, and sheer drops that leave the characters looking absurdly small against the mountain, while the camera frequently pulls back just far enough to make the next few feet of climbing feel like an impossible distance. You can almost feel the weight shifting beneath their hands. Luce and Jax sell that physical exhaustion well, throwing themselves into the mud, cold, and increasingly punishing terrain. For a while, the sequel seems to understand exactly what made the first film work and simply turns the dial higher. Then the script gets in its own way. Just as the survival tension reaches its strongest stretch, an unnecessary subplot barges into the movie and starts dictating character behavior that never feels earned. The problem isn't that the film introduces an ugly or uncomfortable idea; it's that the idea feels bolted onto a survival thriller that was functioning perfectly well without it. The characters become forced by a screenplay that hasn't been properly built, and the final stretch loses the raw simplicity that made the mountain so effective in the first place. Deadpoint finds a more terrifying setting, then fumbles the advantage with a narrative detour that didn't have to be there.

4/10 - Stop making these please. They are so dumb and filled with stupid plot holes. And the choices they decide to make oh my gosh. I don't even think someone in their actual place would never do something so stupid as them.
  • The plot is absurd, but it doesn't really matter. When you've seen the first one you know what's going to happen, that's why I enjoyed it nonetheless. My fear of heights still didn't get cured tho 😄

I was convinced Fall was the worst film of all time. Then Fall II came along.

2 stars for the one scene, you'll know when you see it. Other than that the movie disappoints. I won't remember it in 24h.

Someone’s been watching the Influencer series. Gorgeous views! This woman is such a selfish friend! It’s so dangerous - why insist! “I didn’t mean for it to go this far.” lmao wtf man YOU’RE NOT GONNA CHECK THE WEATHER!? Let her stand on the damn brackets! Why!! Probably would wear an emergency parachute just in case idk What a cool shot of her super athletic jump only for it to cut away so we don’t see her momentum carry her to the other side lmfao How the hell did this single man save those two women instantly. They needed to show the details of that a little more to be believable imo A hilariously stupid anti-drug PSA and lol @ THAT moment. What a dumbass The most laughable sequel setup I have ever seen. Oh my god. Please do it just bc it is that unbelievably bad. Watched at Warren Regal East Currently Ranked #131/152 in 2026 Ranked
  • Dunno why all the bad reviews. I didn't get bored at all during this movie. To me, it was good.

Stupid, ridiculous and not in a good way. Fall 2 delivers a parade of terrible decisions, irritating characters and the occasional moment of genuine vertigo. By the end, I wasn’t hoping they’d survive, I was hoping they’d slip so the film would finally be over.

This movie altogether held its own but suffered relative to its predecessor. The original fall was believable because it was presented a journey that was pretty much untested and only had one core moment of things falling apart with the remainder of the movie trying to figure out how to recover from it. Meanwhile, this movie hyped the danger upfront but made the lack of preparedness totally unbelievable. Surely they would decide to bring along cliff oriented rock climbing equipment for climbing in the side of a cliff? Right?! But no - they skip those precautions. Along the journey they run into no fewer than 4 failures of the path. The trail is presented as something wreck less tourists do every now and then so the fact it breaks that many times feels just like something to keep the movie going rather than genuine events. We end up getting through all this and get some totally contribed third act conflict. If not for the ending feeling so rushed together, I'd have bumped this up a star. That said, great cinematography and reasonably suspenseful. Certainly worth a watch if you liked the first one
  • Just finished Fall 2. Overall, the first film felt much more authentic - from the actors' performances to the setting itself. It carried real tension and even had a certain visual beauty in its cinematography. The sequel, on the other hand, leans heavily on obvious CGI. Even though it offers more high-angle shots, it never quite managed to impress or unsettle me the way the original did.
