M. Night delivers a straightforward but tense and emotional thriller that poses the question: Would you sacrifice your family to save the world?
Somewhat surprisingly, there’s not much else to it. Bautista and Groff stood out as exceptional performances. Bautista particularly impresses me with each new role. This is probably the best executed Shyamalan cameo of all his films. Really enjoyed this film though and feel like it’s one that would get better on rewatch. 3.5 for now but leaving room to grow. I’m probably watching it again with the family this weekend.
