What a frustratingly bad documentary. Such an interesting/tragic story that spends almost no time diving deeper into these kids stories. So many things left unanswered. Questions just never asked. Time jumps with no explanations. Super sloppy and it’s a shame because these kids have been abused and mentally messed up and the doc basically says it’s all okay because they love movies and made films as their form of escape. Writing and complaining about this just caused me to lower this an additional half a star.
