A beautiful mess.
Extreme disappointment. Ben Affleck is cable of producing such a better picture. All the ideas are there, the actors are there, and the production design is insanely good. It can't help this film from scattering all over the place. The movie feels like it has 3 endings, a brother significantly mentioned 3 times that is never seen, and goes completely off the train tracks by the end of the film. There's odd decisions to just brush past events and treat them like footnotes. Supposedly it cuts a ton from what made the book great. All I know is this could of been so much better.
