The Texas Rangers chase down a gang of outlaws led by Butch Cavendish, but the gang ambushes the Rangers, seemingly killing them all. One survivor is found, however, by an American Indian named Tonto, who nurses him back to health. The Ranger, donning a mask and riding a white stallion named Silver, teams up with Tonto to bring the unscrupulous gang and others of that ilk to justice.

One of my personal favorite films of all time. The cinematography, visual effects, and action sequences that Gore Verbinski has achieved with this film are remarkable. For example that end train chase scene is one of the best&most well edited scenes in cinematic history and easily the best part of the movie. The main reason this film is so hated upon by critics is the pacing and that the first 40% is slow and convoluted. Although I acknowledge this, I never personally had a problem with it. The reason for this being that it DOES have action sequences sprinkled in while perfectly giving a comprehensive introduction to our main characters. The plot is great with twists&turns with moments that you understand things you didn't before. Its a film that explains itself and gets better as you watch it. Overall this is a great film with an AMAZING third act which will leave you with a good taste in the your mouth and a great popcorn movie! 9.5/10 film!
