It sure is a movie.
With how much everyone keeps saying this is "Such a SAD movie", I kind of expected a sad movie.
What I got instead was a manipulative movie, and a message about how "being poor is good", with a half cooked portion of "Be religious too btw".
-I should make it clear I have nothing against religion, but faith feels like a side comment shoehorned into the ending of the movie, rather than an actual theme in the story.-
Now, I am aware that's an oversimplification, but not even the movie itself justifies or elaborates on it.
Idk what much else to say dude. At least for me, there's not much to see, other than an interesting view into what I assume would be the normality in a 1930s Mexico City life.
