The X-Files

The X-Files
Two FBI agents, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully work in an unassigned detail of the bureau called the X-Files investigating cases dealing with unexplained paranormal phenomena. Mulder, a true believer, and Scully, a skeptic, perceive their cases from stand points of science and the paranormal.
Iconic, trend setting and engrossing. The first 5-6 seasons are entirely gripping and cement this series as one of the best of the 90’s.
Great writing, whitty dialogue and two all-too watchable characters keep this series moving through a long, complicated series arc, with occasional yet completely enjoyable “Monster of the Week” episodes.
Yes, it’s dated and firmly entrenched in the 1990s, where cell phones were still primitive, but the series launched a distrust of government and institutions that still resonates today.
