The 15:17 to Paris

The 15:17 to Paris
On Aug. 21, 2015, the world watches in stunned silence as the media reports a thwarted terrorist attack on a train that's bound for Paris -- an attempt prevented by three young Americans traveling together through Europe. The heroic and courageous actions of Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone help to save the lives of more than 500 passengers on board.

The true story portrayed in this film could just be happenstance. It might however have been Spencer Stone's and his two friends destiny, with a little help from his own guardian angel at the crucial moment when he would otherwise have been slaughtered by machine-gun fire. The film is patiently paced and full of facinating detail of the three main protaganists, with incredible action scenes and a display of raw courage during the actual attack on the train. Absolutely recomended for enjoyable and thought provoking viewing. Other great, gently-paced films worth watching: "The last samurai", "Frost Nixon", "12 Angry men", "All the Presidents men", "Slumdog millionaire", "Bridge of Spies".
