Four passengers escape their bubonic plague-infested ship and land on the coast of a wild jungle. In order to reach safety they have to trek through the jungle, facing wild animals and attacks by primitive tribesmen.

There’s a scene when a black man is killed because he’s mistaken for a monkey in a tree. Lots of that dated attitude dominates. The rest is mostly unintentionally funny especially Claudette as the hot be-speckled teacher that becomes the hot jungle queen in designer leopard skin. The old lady thriving after being kidnapped is kind of a hoot. Small scale adventure from DeMille.
