Over There

Over There
Gritty, intense, evocative and emotional, "Over There" takes you to the front lines of battle and explores the effects of war on a U.S. Army unit sent to Iraq on their first tour of duty, as well as the equally powerful effects felt at home by their families and loved ones.

Look, I’ve watched it on release, at the time it was okay. After 20 years it certainly doesn’t hold up, it a drama before it’s a war show. To put it into perspective it’s a show conjured up by a bunch of overly caffeinated Call of Duty players, and its connection to what actual war is, is completely lost in its sub-par writing. Characters are standard at best, stereotypical at worst. The rose tinted glasses were definitely worn, but there is still a nostalgic factor connecting me to my more unintelligible youth.
