Il mio West

Gunslinger's Revenge
The idealistic lifestyle of an old West farmer, his Indian wife and half-breed son, who narrates the tale, is disrupted when his grandfather, an old gunslinger, shows up on the farm. Although looking to retire, the family is not happy with his return, given his past lifestyle and mistreatment of his family. Things get worse when another gunfighter shows up and terrorizes the town, trying to force the father into a gun fight.

It is not as bad as I braced for. A family friendly western with the exception of Bowie coming to town and being something out of Deadwood. Keitel as the old gunfighter is actually kind of endearing and he pulled it off. Nice to see he didn’t just phone this in. He looked a bit like Hackman.
The sets are all over the place as in all western styles mixed together so similar to those cheap Italian ones from the 70s with the bad English dub included. Scenery was nice and yet somehow they made the outdoors look cheap.
The lead is the big issue. I couldn’t tell if he was supposed to be funny or not. Lots of extras that all look authentic adds to the effort.
In the end there is barely any action.
