Nonnas is a good, fun family movie that brings warmth and heart to the screen. The film does a great job incorporating Italian family dynamics and culture, both through its characters and its celebration of traditional cuisine. There’s an authenticity to how it portrays generational bonds and the love that flows through food.
That said, a noticeable editing mistake in a key scene mid-film breaks immersion and detracts from the overall polish. It’s unfortunate, as it slightly undercuts an otherwise charming and well-executed experience.
Still, Nonnas delivers on its promise — a feel-good, culturally rich film perfect for a family night in.
