Fantastic Four is a solid movie, not exceptional by any means but solid.
The cast is good (dispite my previous doubts), the general asthetic is REALLY good and the overal message of the film is one of family and never sacrificing the people you love. The pacing was pretty good and the film never outstayed it's welcome.
I was not sold on the 50s vibe from the promotional material but I'm glad to be wrong on this one. The world felt different enough to be magical but familiar enough to be nostalgic. The Fantastic Car looked GREAT.
There were a few moments of questionable CGI and a few places where the in-universe timeline didnt seem to make much sense. These are nitpicks however.
Ultimately I went in with fairly low expectations and was very plesantly surprised by the charm and warmth coming from Fantastic Four.
