Unexpected in a number of ways, and for the good. It starts well, then begins what feels like a very lazy tying up of questions, in convenient ways. ‘Why can I do this,’ followed swiftly by a, ‘oh well, I’m an expert in that phenomenon actually!’ Very neat, and you’re lulled into a false sense of security that you know where it’s going, and seemingly quickly. Run of the mill. The end result is clearly a borrowing of multiple ideas, but with a sprinkle of superhero here, Final Destination there, a little Sixth Sense and of course the original movie, what you are left with is a fairly original set of twists and turns that leave you, surprisingly, reasonably entertained.
