Tired of the crime overrunning the streets of Boston, Irish Catholic twin brothers Conner and Murphy are inspired by their faith to cleanse their hometown of evil with their own brand of zealous vigilante justice. As they hunt down and kill one notorious gangster after another, they become controversial folk heroes in the community. But Paul Smecker, an eccentric FBI agent, is fast closing in on their blood-soaked trail.

"Where you going? NOWHERE!" The Boondocks Saints is a quintessential movie for a certain subset of young men. However, that does not mean it is a GOOD movie whatsoever. I revisit The Boondocks Saints every St. Patricks day. This year's take away - Norman Reedus is just so young here. The only truly redeemable quality of this movie is Willem Dafoe's performance as FBI Agent Paul Smecker. Everything else is peak-edge, which at one point in my life I really enjoyed. Once you take off the rose-tinted glasses, you'll realize that The Boondocks Saints just doesn't hold up. I'll still be watching it next year, though.
