“Cancel My Reservation” is a Bob Hope mystery-comedy that leans hard on gags and one-liners, most of which miss their mark. The story is convoluted and thin, with pacing that stumbles from broad comedy to weak romance to limp suspense. It feels more like an overstretched TV skit than a cohesive film.
