As the Village Sleeps

As the Village Sleeps
A smart yet naive college girl organizes a birthday celebration at her stepfather's cabin, bringing together a volatile group of friends and family. While playing a mysterious party game, nightmares blend with reality and the friends struggle to survive as the living game attacks and turns them against each other.

My quick rating - 3.3/10. People still believe it will be alright to get a group of friends together and go hang out in a cabin in the woods. This time around, a bunch of young adults who decided to blow off acting school completely (in real life) head off for a weekend away, and when playing a very vaguely described game, they summon up some ancient demon out to defend the land. The game itself makes almost no sense, yet that is supposed to be the whole reason people start dying. As their reality begins to mix with nightmares, you lose track of why you are still watching. Just more of a test of your patience in watching, really. And mine, reviewing for that matter. The camera work is dizzying at times, the gore is pretty uneven, sometimes decent, other times, awful. Aside from horror buffs who have to watch everything, I would suggest a pass. It is above a 3, but still will just anger you since it isn't that #turkey you obviously want to avoid.
