A commercial diver is stranded on the seabed with only five minutes of oxygen supply, but with no chance of rescue for more than 30 minutes. With access to amazing archival footage, this is the true story of one man’s impossible fight for survival.
The suspense is real and it's an incredible story. Despite that, though, it still feels slightly hollow due to the choices in how to tell the documentary. It would have benefited from having interviews with experts to help explain things more. For instance, an explanation is never given for exactly what "saturation" diving is, why it's needed, or why it requires being isolated. Without that basic information, viewers who don't already know might be left wondering "well, why didn't they just send someone else down to help?" Still, it remains a fascinating story and it's a worthwhile watch, even if you might be left wondering a little about how much more the documentary could have been.
