The Flash

The Flash
Barry Allen is struck by a bolt of lightning and thus, an extraordinary power is born inside him: The Speed Force. When he uses this power to run back in time and save his mother, he creates a world without heroes and General Zod has returned. To defeat him, his only hope rests in the hands of a retired Batman, another Barry and an imprisoned kryptonian.

I recently watched The Flash and it was a bit of a rollercoaster for me.
The opening scene where Barry saves the babies definitely felt very Flash-like, but the CGI was pretty off and made it look a bit funky. I really appreciated seeing Barry’s story unfold, something I’ve been waiting for since I was a kid, and I enjoyed the way they brought in the multiverse, with Michael Keaton’s Batman and the addition of Supergirl. However, I was disappointed with the villain choice and felt like the writing could have been stronger, especially since Reverse Flash would have been a more fitting antagonist for Barry’s story. The CGI overall left a lot to be desired, and some character arcs felt a bit rushed or underdeveloped. In the end, while my inner child was happy to see The Flash on screen, the rest of me was left feeling pretty disappointed overall.
