As a child, Douglas was abused by a violent father, who then threw him to the dogs. Instead of attacking him, the dogs protected him. Traumatized, and leading a life on the margins of society with his dogs, Douglas descends into a murderous madness.

I’m really not sure what to think of this movie. Caleb Landry Jones was amazing. The dogs were awesome. The story was very different than I expected. It was a good movie that just took a little time to connect with me. Most Luc Besson movies grab me quick. I know he was trying to do something totally different this time. Of that he succeeded. I just don’t like the result as much as his previous films. Then again, it would be hard to reach the heights of The Professional or The Fifth Element with this weird little film.
