In a Manhattan apartment building, Max's life as a favorite pet is turned upside-down, when his owner brings home sloppy mongrel Duke. They must put their quarrels aside when they learn that adorable white bunny Snowball is building an army of lost pets determined to wreak revenge.

I think it's safe to say that if you own an animal, I guarantee you'll find at least one of the film's colorful cast of pets adorable and hilarious. The voice talent, especially Kevin Hart as Snowball the bunny, do tremendous work and make the characters likable.
This is a tale of Max (voiced by Louis C.K.) who wants nothing more than to spend time with his owner. Everything is going great til his owner brings home another dog and from there, things get out of hand.
The plot for the film feels recycled from animated films that came before it. Almost to a point where it feels as if it's just a reskinning of Toy Story. That's not necessarily a bad thing but makes the plot predictable. The film also takes shortcuts to get to the ending as characters flip flop sides at the drop of a hat.
I don't mean to sound cynical of the movie. I've just seemed to have been spoiled a little by Zootopia, Kung Fu Panda 3, and Finding Dory. I laughed consistently throughout the film and thought the animation was gorgeous. New York City was a character itself in how bright and elegantly shaped everything was. The way this film is directed also deserves huge credit. What's on screen is always visually appealing to the eye.
This is fun for the whole family and definitely hope to see another outing by these pets!
