“Texas Terror” is one of John Wayne’s early low-budget Westerns, a formulaic morality tale where the lines between good and evil are sharply drawn and the character arcs are broad and predictable. The dialogue is stiff, the moral conflicts lack depth, and the direction is purely functional. Still, for John Wayne completists or fans of old-school matinee Westerns, it remains a watchable curiosity from the actor’s formative years.
