Godzilla vs. Kong

Godzilla vs. Kong
The epic next chapter in the cinematic Monsterverse pits two of the greatest icons in motion picture history against each other--the fearsome Godzilla and the mighty Kong--with humanity caught in the balance.

This is my third attempt at watching the whole movie without falling asleep and man I failed. It’s just a boring story. The production and visuals are great but the plot is just lack any urgency. They really deliver at the beginning where Godzilla fought Kong and it went on 2 other times, the fights were nicely choreographed but the whole mecha Godzilla and the driving force of the plot was overused and lack of any real stakes to make me care any of the characters. They decided to make Kong the main hero despite the movie was set up from a Godzilla film and it feels detached. Godzilla just swimming around looking for Apex and we followed through Kongs home world and how he could be the one saving the day.
They made Kong too human like, to relatable, they even made him the underdog throughout the fights, he even has a weapon! All I want to see is two beasts fight each other, without any logic and reason.
They tried to justify everything, where the Titans come from, their motivation and the time used for that made them forget about what would happened if these two really fight without an end.
This wasn’t enjoyable, I fell asleep again and the technology used was really distracting from the rawness of such fights.
