Such a fun midnight flick! It’s been so long since I’ve done an actual midnight showing since most “midnighters” seem to start at 10:00. A wild body horror that turns commitment and co-dependency into a nightmarish sacrifice of self identity. Loved the gooey and sticky effects, a number of really unsettling scares and a load of wince-inducing body horror. Alison Brie is the standout, but she’s good in everything. She seems every bit as charming in person, as she does on screen. 😍 Her and Dave Franco’s natural chemistry permeates onto the screen and is a big part of what makes this film work. Neon swooped this up after Sundance and it’s slated for an August 1, 2025 release date. Check it out when you can.
