Since Iris and Josh met in a supermarket, the two have been inseparable. Now they want to spend the weekend together with Josh's friends at the luxurious lake estate of Sergey. His mistress Kat, and friends Eli and Patrick will also be there. At first, Iris is unsure, convinced that everyone hates her. After a bumpy start, the six spend a boisterous evening together. But the following morning will change their lives forever.
I could tell immediately based on the online chatter when this trailer dropped that it is one to avoid. I generally avoid trailers anyways (and truly believe everyone should as well), but I was very glad I went in completely blind because this was such a surprise and a fun time at the cinema. Interestingly, I asked my kids if they wanted to go, but they will not go blindly into the theater so they watched the trailer before deciding to come along with me. It made for a fun experience because I could feel their eyes peering over at me waiting for my reaction to certain reveals. It’s not one I want to talk openly about until after it officially releases. Honestly this is the perfect kind of Monday mystery movie, which is how I watched this. It’s just such a fun ride. Go see it. Avoid the trailer, poster, letterbox logline, etc if you can. Love Sophie Thatcher and she is finding her way into some of my favorite flicks in the past couple years. Hope she keeps it up.
