I get trying something new with a location/environment but if you are going to treat it exactly the same as a cabin in the woods, then you're not really adding anything new other than backdrop. I just feel it was a missed opportunity to do something interesting in the new urban setting....maybe having to fight down the building floor by floor, and each level is some new horror or challenge?
I dunno, maybe I have too high of standards set by Evil Dead 2, which I saw when I was 7, and it scared the all the solids (and liquids) out of my body. 💩🟡💦
Still probably one of my earliest memories is watching Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn with my brother and him warning me it will give me nightmares... and him being totally right about that shit 😱
