It's obvious Oscar bait, good acting by Jonathan Majors and he sacrificed a lot getting into shape for the role. Having said that the script is pretty silly, repetitive and stereotypical. There was so much more potential for this movie and avenues it could have explored instead of reducing the story down to the usual nonsense.
