“Pardon My Sarong” is a wartime Abbott and Costello outing that leans more on slapstick than story. The plot barely holds together, mostly serving as a vehicle to land the duo on a tropical island where musical numbers and scantily clad dancers fill the gaps between gags. While it delivers their signature brand of humor, the laughs are few and far between, and the whole thing feels more like a badly stitched-together variety show than a real movie. Ultimately, it’s forgettable and not very funny.
