Suddenly, the recent headlines about Jerry Seinfeld denigrating the current state of the film industry makes soooo much more sense. He’s was trying to get ahead of this painfully unfunny film directed and co-written by the man himself. What’s most astounding is the impressive collection of genuinely funny stars and comedians that have been assembled and yet the film failed to garner a single laugh. (Not hyperbole).
Highly recommend, if you want to watch an endless string of punchlines fall silently to the ground the instant they’re spoken into existence. Outside of that morbid curiosity, avoid at all costs.
