Unfortunately, the film itself is just a glossy, PG-13 re-tread. It’s a predictable and painfully cliché mash-up of Child's Play meets The Terminator that lacks the guts of either. The plotting is riddled with idiot-savant characters who ignore every safety protocol known to man. Even worse, the whole thing felt engineered for that one viral social media clip, a cynical piece of marketing bollocks designed to become a trending meme, which only reinforces the film’s central point about algorithmic dominance. A two and a half star rating for a great idea wasted on mediocre, sanitised execution.
