Beyond the Shadows

Beyond the Shadows
Ghosts aren't real. That's why Drexler Faust and his Beyond the Shadows crew fake them for their show. Wanting more fans, Drex and the gang head to the Chetco River Lodge to explore the paranormal activity of the massacred Native spirits from before. The only problem... this time the ghosts are REAL.

My quick rating - 3.0/10. "We'll act our asses off." Yes, because THAT is surely your strong point, acting! This one is filled with just awful acting, top to bottom. They would've been better off not working off script and just winging it. Another handi-cam flick, but not one of found footage, single camera. Nope, this is a truly original idea (flip your sarcasm meter on). A fake ghost hunter show goes to a location to prove that the lodge where a bunch of Native Americans were slaughtered isn't haunted. Along for the ride is a crew of people who also debunk ghosts, and fake paranormal shows, and a small group of fans. More people for you to hope die in this poor attempt at a horror flick. But the highlight here is they are NOT taking themselves seriously, thankfully. The comedy is pretty weak, but Monty (Ty Boice) steals every scene he is in. Doubt he is going anywhere, but if so, give him the lines. At least this one has some kills, tries some scares, and simple tricks to move the story along. These few positives don't make it worth the price of admission, but keep it from pissing you off when the goofy credits roll. Ty Boice dancing around LOL.
